hello everyone, i am glad to find this forum. i 'm enjoying learning to machine knit on my brother profile 551. i have not found a manual for this machine yet but am learning from youtube. i have one discouragement; after i knit my project and begin casting off, i always mess up! something always goes wrong with the cast off and i usually wind up having to throw away my project. after all the work and time, having it ruin on the last step is making me crazy! is there something i'm missing?

Hi pixie...have you been on the Knitting Paradise website? They have a forum also and it's a very busy one. Lots of help available...encouragement too. They can also tell you where to download a manual for your knitting machine. This forum must not have anyone on it...no action at all!
Weegie.

Knitting Paradise has a section called Introduce yourself...then they have a section strictly for machine knitting. I will keep an eye out for you...I am Weegie there too!
